Window Treatments in Winter Garden, FL

Local knowledge

Historic Downtown and Horizon West

Winter Garden splits into two very different jobs. The historic district around Plant Street has bungalows and older homes with tall narrow windows, transoms, and openings that are rarely square. Those need measuring individually and often suit shutters, which sit into the opening and read as period-appropriate joinery.

Then there is Horizon West and the newer communities out toward Hamlin, where the housing stock is large, modern and full of two-story great rooms and wide sliders. A completely different problem: high glass nobody can reach, and west-facing walls that turn a family room into an oven by four in the afternoon.

• Historic district: shutters, specialty shapes, out-of-square openings
• Horizon West: motorized shades for tall glass, wide slider solutions
• West-facing great rooms are the most common complaint we hear here
• Four miles from our facility, so service calls are straightforward
