Yes, with no obligation attached. A consultant brings the full sample library to your home, measures the openings you want quoted, and leaves you with firm pricing. If you decide not to proceed, you owe nothing.

It depends on the product, the size of the opening and the number of windows, which is why we quote at the visit rather than publishing a price list that would mislead you. As a rough ordering, faux wood blinds sit at the affordable end, roller and cellular shades in the middle, and shutters and motorized systems at the top. You get a firm number before committing to anything.

Two to four weeks is typical for most custom shades and blinds, because we manufacture in Ocoee rather than importing. Shutters and larger motorized systems take longer. You are given a real date, not a range.

Ask your consultant at the visit. Options vary and we would rather tell you what is genuinely available at the time than publish something that has since changed.

Yes. We are happy to quote a single opening. Plenty of jobs start as one problem window and grow from there once people see the difference.

For heat specifically, a double cell cellular shade or an insulating shutter performs best among interior treatments, because both create an insulating air layer against the glass. An exterior solar screen beats any interior product because it stops the energy before it reaches the glass at all. Timing matters as much as product: the shade has to be down before the sun hits.

Real wood is lighter, warmer looking and spans wider without support. Faux wood will not warp, swell or discolor in humidity. In Florida the room decides: real wood in living rooms and bedrooms, faux wood in kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms and anywhere near a slider that stands open.

Vertical blinds remain the most practical option because the vanes stack tightly aside and rotate for light control without being drawn back. Panel tracks and wide roller shades are the main alternatives. Horizontal blinds on a slider are generally a poor idea given the width and the constant traffic.

No. They have been in continuous use long enough to read as architectural rather than as a trend, which is why they hold value at resale. Contemporary interiors use wider louvers and a hidden tilt rod, which looks considerably cleaner than the narrow louvers common twenty years ago.

On windows you cannot easily reach, on very wide or heavy shades, and anywhere a schedule would beat the sun to the glass, yes. On a standard reachable bedroom window it is a convenience rather than a necessity. We will tell you which of your windows fall into which category.

Living With Them

Defects in components and workmanship on what we manufacture, for as long as you own the treatment. It does not cover accidental damage, pet damage or fabric fading from sun exposure, which no manufacturer covers. The warranty page sets it out in full.

Most need regular dusting with a soft brush or a vacuum brush attachment and nothing more. Faux wood wipes down with a damp cloth. Real wood should be dusted or wiped barely damp and dried at once. Fabric shades spot clean only, never soaked. For anything stubborn, ask us before experimenting.

We fit cordless lift as standard on new orders precisely because hanging cords are a genuine hazard around children and pets. Motorized systems remove cords entirely. If you have young children, say so at the consultation and we will specify accordingly.

A well made custom treatment in a normal Florida home should give you well over a decade. Mechanisms outlast fabric, and fabric in direct sun is usually what reaches the end of its life first. Cheap stock blinds tend to fail within a few years, which is where the cost difference shows up.

Often, yes, particularly verticals and blinds. That work is quoted rather than covered by warranty. Being the manufacturer means we can frequently make a part the original supplier no longer stocks.
